Solve et Coagula
As Above, So Below
The creative process or cycle of metamorphosis is represented like a clock, with midnight/noon being the end of that particular manifestation. The child’s skeleton is in the meditative pose of Baphomet, saying “as above so below” or “solve et coagula” meaning “dissolve and bind”. Behind the child is a void of nothingness, from which this entire process is brought into existence as the sunflower, with the child as the facilitator. The child is the will of existence (beyond life and death as well as time), at one with the void or the womb of creation.
